From Our Factory Floor to the Station Floor

Every square metre of granite at Siglap MRT Station was produced and quality-checked in our own factory before shipment to Singapore. Below, see the stone installed and in service, followed by the real production and quality-control work — slab drying, calibrated sizing, thickness gauging and flatness checks — for the two granites supplied: a light sea-wave grey granite and the dark Breton Green / Butterfly Green granite.

Transit stations demand stone that performs relentlessly. The concourse and platform floors are paved in grey granite laid in a calm two-tone pattern, finished for slip resistance and built to handle constant footfall, rolling luggage and cleaning regimes without losing its appearance.

Integrated Tactile Guidance Paving

Accessibility is built into the stone itself, with directional and warning tactile paving set precisely into the granite floor at corners, stairs and lift approaches. Achieving clean, continuous tactile lines across a large floor required exact module sizing and careful coordination with the architectural setting-out.

Exterior Cladding and Stair Treads

The station’s exterior elevations are clad in textured grey granite panels that give the building a solid, civic presence, while the internal stairs use granite treads with recessed anti-slip strips. Calibrated thickness and tight tolerances ensured the cladding, paving and stairs all aligned to the demanding standards of a public infrastructure project.
