On the corner of Fifth Avenue and 26th Street, 212 Fifth Avenue is one of Manhattan’s most coveted addresses. When the design team needed flawless white Calacatta marble for its arrival sequence, Sun Young Stone was selected to supply, fabricate and finish the stone that defines the building’s public spaces.

A Lobby Designed to Impress
The double-height lobby is clad floor-to-ceiling in large-format white Calacatta marble, chosen for its bright white background and soft grey veining. Each slab was carefully selected from the same block and book-matched on site, creating mirrored veining that flows seamlessly across the walls. A petrified-wood inlay runner adds a layer of natural artistry underfoot.
Precision Fabrication for a Demanding Market
New York’s luxury residential market demands exceptional tolerances. Our team dry-laid every slab in our 8,000 m² facility before shipment, numbering each piece for vein continuity and verifying dimensions against the architect’s shop drawings. This pre-installation process eliminates surprises on site and keeps high-rise fit-out schedules on track.
From Block Selection to Bathroom Detailing
Beyond the lobby, the same marble language continues into the residences’ bathrooms — vanity tops, full-height shower walls and geometric floor patterns. Consistent block selection across hundreds of square metres ensures that every apartment shares the same refined material identity, a hallmark of branded luxury developments.
