Banded Granite Walkways
The colonnade walkways are paved in a banded pattern that alternates lighter grey and charcoal granite, giving direction and rhythm to the long covered routes. A flamed, anti-slip finish keeps the surface safe in Hong Kong’s humid, wet climate, while the dense granite resists wear from constant pedestrian traffic and the surrounding subtropical planting.
Sweeping Feature Staircases
The curved feature stairs are clad in dark granite treads that wrap elegantly around stone-faced walls and tiered garden planters. Producing comfortable, consistent treads along a curving flight required precise cutting and calibration so every step reads cleanly and meets safety tolerances.
